Color Me Happy
One of my favorite things to do on a beautiful weekend day is to aimlessly walk the streets of New York City with my camera, either in my neighborhood or after travelling to another one. For me, one of the best parts of New York City is that you can hop on the subway for 15 minutes and arrive in another neighborhood that feels like an entirely different city. I’ve noticed when I have my camera, and I am scouting for shots, I appreciate my surroundings so much more. My eyes are constantly looking for the perfect lens shot and trying to find the beautiful in the unexpected. Despite being in the City for several years now, I am still amazed to turn a corner or look behind me and find something totally new and awe-inspiring, even in my own neighborhood. The two photos above were such a discovery last weekend. I was inspired by the amazing vibrancy of the colors to include some equally colorful handmade goods today on E*H.
