Explore*Handmade in the Kitchen: Marshmallow & Banana Chocolate Skewers
I’m excited to bring a very simple DIY dessert treat to the blog today that I love—and had with dinner last night! I have found that this dessert is a great idea for group gatherings and for kids (substitute forks for the skewers to be on the safe side). It is so much fun dipping these into the sweet toppings and mixing it up. I typically use bananas or marshmallows but you can also use strawberries, which I pair with chocolate sprinkles and coconut.
Simply boil some water on your stove and add a bowl filled with chocolate chips that fits within the pot but does not touch the bottom. Once the chocolate chips have melted, stir the chocolate. Now the fun part—dip the bananas and marshmallows in the chocolate first, and then in the topping of your choice. I used crushed Oreos, crushed M&Ms, sliced almonds and rainbow sprinkles above. Lastly, pop them in your mouth. Given how easy this is, I typically find myself popping quite a few!
